Activity “Smoothing geometry”

Name: Smoothing geometry
Materials:

• Cartoon
• Pins for paper
• Wool
• Sellotape
• Paper

Explanation:

Cut a rectangle of cartoon, put the pins in lines, with the same distance between each other. In one of the corners role a piece of wool, big enough to do forms when bypassing all the pins. Finally, tape paper in the cartoon with pre-defined forms to guide them.

Objectives:

• Promote creativity
• Improve hand and brain agility

Evaluation:

To follow the pre-defined forms is very nice so they focus on which pin they have to put the wool in order to create the same geometric form, but also you can make them feel free and make what they want as they want. It is also a very good exercise for the imagination trying to find a way to do simple draws in a geometric way.
